Description
SUMMARY
The Accountant participates in the monthly financial close process, including the preparation of various account reconciliations, certain journal entries, and financial statement analysis in collaboration with other members of the finance team and reports to the associate director of finance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
? Review and post Accounts Payable Batches / Cash Disbursements
? Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations.
? Prepare variance analysis for trended financial results and other comparative analysis as required.
? Prepare support for financial statement audit requests.
? Participate and support the maintenance of internal control documentations & requirements.
? Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process including but not
limited to journal entries, expense allocations, accruals, fixed assets and prepaid amortization.
? Prepare and support various other finance and other ad hoc projects as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience
? BA/BS/AA Degree in Accounting/related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
? 1 or more years accounting experience required.
? Detailed oriented, trainable, and willing to learn new things.
? Advanced Excel skills required.
? Proven self-starter who sets aggressive goals and meets them.
? Demonstrated ability to think analytically and successfully execute tactics.
