Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staffPrepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondencePerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsWork closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projectsRepresent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedingsQualifications
Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience representing clients for 2-5 yearsMust be a member of your local bar association - active member preferredWell-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)Decision-making, public-speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a mustMust be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervisionSuccessful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experienceCandidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office programs is neededMinimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environmentCompensation
