Problem Solver - clients come to you with problems and you need to ease their minds with a solutionKnowledge of estate planning and criminal defense is a plusPrepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondenceWork closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projectsCounsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcomeAppear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedingsPerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsQualifications
Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plusAbility to use Microsoft Office is requiredStrong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is requiredDecision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a mustMust be a member of your local bar association - active member preferredCompensation
