Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a diverse range of cases with a focus on Premises Liability, Motor Vehicle Collision claims, drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs. This role requires a deep understanding of Illinois state bar regulations, Federal Court Admission, and experience in various court proceedings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, court appearances, mediation, arbitration, and trial.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of premises liability and motor vehicle collision claims from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. in furtherance of active litigation files.
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and experts.
• Prepare clients for depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, effectively making court appearances and court calls.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to provide a swift and favorable resolution to their legal issues.
• Participate in trials and hearings, presenting arguments and evidence in a persuasive and effective manner.
• Utilize Case Management Software and other technologies effectively to manage case progress.
• Collaborate with team members and other staff to ensure the best outcome for the client.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Illinois.
• Admission to Federal Court.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in premises liability and motor vehicle collision claims.
• Proven experience in drafting legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Demonstrated experience in court appearances, court calls, and court proceedings.
• Prior experience in jury trials and settlement negotiations.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), Case Management Software, and Filevine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience in mediation and arbitration is a plus.
