Project Accountant

Job Description for the Project Accountant:

CFS of New York is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our clients finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs and budgets.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Accountant:

• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
• Prepare and maintain project financial reports, including forecasts and variances.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable related to projects, ensuring timely processing.
• Collaborate with project managers to analyze financial performance and provide insights.
• Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare journal entries as needed.
• Support audits and prepare documentation related to project finances.

Qualifications for the Project Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
