Senior Accountant

Overview:

This position will help with financial oversight, ad-hoc reports and provide an exciting mix of day to day operations and forward thinking strategy and analysis!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting Policy Development

    Research emerging accounting issues, document findings, and implement appropriate accounting policies within the portfolio management teams.

  • Operational Finance

    Handle daily financial operations, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.

  • Month-End Close Activities

    Oversee the month-end close process, including tasks such as recording, reconciling, and analyzing general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for management, investors, and compliance purposes.

  • Audit and Compliance Support

    Coordinate with external auditors and assist in preparing for annual financial audits and ensuring tax compliance.

  • Process Optimization

    Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system efficiencies, and reduce operational waste by leveraging technology.

  • Due Diligence Support

    Participate in financial due diligence activities related to the acquisition strategies of our portfolio companies.

  • Post-Acquisition Integration

    Lead the financial integration efforts for newly acquired companies within the portfolio.

  • Special Projects

    Take on various ad hoc projects as required to support team objectives.

Required Skills:
  • Qualifications

    • CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
    • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Experience

    • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting.
    • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Communication

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and contribute to new initiatives as they arise.
  • Interpersonal Skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a positive, proactive attitude, a sense of humor, and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels.
    • Capable of representing the company with a high degree of professionalism.
