Accounting Manager

I am working with an organization in the area looking to hire an Accounting & Finance Manager. This Manager will support the organization's budgeting, reporting and operations, and they will manage a team of two (prior supervisory experience is not required). They have an excellent benefits/healthcare package including they offer free health insurance for all employees and their dependents, 1 month of PTO + sick time, they close every Friday in August, among other perks.

Responsibilities include:

• Reconcile the G/L
• Analyze, interpret and forecast financial reports
• Enter and post journal entries into the system
• Reconcile payroll
• Reconcile bank and investment statements
• Create monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements in the system
• Assist with preparing the budget
• Monitor the budget and financial reports for spending trends
• Prepare quarterly program financials alongside the executive team and staff

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Strong system skills including Excel
