Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your key duties will include:

  1. Managing a variety of criminal law cases from inception through to conclusion.
  2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents in a meticulous and timely manner.
  3. Conducting legal research and analysis to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients.
  4. Representing clients in court, delivering compelling arguments, and ensuring their rights are protected.
  5. Collaborating with our team of attorneys on litigation strategies, contributing to team discussions, and providing input on case management.
  6. Ensuring all activities are in compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  7. Developing relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional client service.
  8. Participating in business development activities, contributing to the growth and reputation of the firm.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney position will have:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with a focus on criminal law.
  3. Admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
  4. Proven experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of court procedures and rules.
  5. Knowledge of legal compliance and corporate governance.
  6. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  9. Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple cases and meeting tight deadlines.
  10. Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism at all times.
