RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Production

Safely operating Manitowoc 4600 stockpiling shot limestoneMonitoring machine conditions and noting necessary maintenance requirementsLubrication of machine points as required throughout shiftInsure that dragline is properly inspected prior to shift operation and all conditions notedMaintain thorough communications with Mine Manager to inform of machine status or conditional changesMaintain high standards of housekeeping on dragline systems and in working area of quarryReporting

Record equipment status on Pre-Shift / Work place exam formsFollow Safe Quality Food guidelinesSafety

Attend scheduled safety meetingsEnforce all applicable safety policiesMaintain a safe and clean work environmentPromote safety among co-workersParticipate in Behavior Based Safety programBackup

To back up any qualified position as assigned by supervisorTo be backed up by any qualified team member as assigned by supervisorOther

Perform or assist with maintenance tasks as requiredUnderstand and work within Safe Quality Food certification requirementsOther duties as assignedATTRIBUTES:

Problem Solving - uses logic and methods to help solve machine operating problemsCommunication Skills - clear written and verbal instructions and notes are essentialWorking Knowledge - must understand the mechanics of the equipmentMust be capable of working any shift, overtime, be on-call, or work seven days a week, as required by stockpile maintenanceMust be able to perform multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needsMust be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workersMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independentlyMust possess the basic reading and math skillsMust have good written and verbal communicate skillsStrong record of attendance reliabilitySafety Oriented with the ability to work well within a team environment.Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this jobPhysical Demands include, but are not limited to:

Must be physically able to perform work assignedMust be physically capable of accessing all plant locationsAccess all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnelsWill be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a mining environmentThe employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral ParticlesThe employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sittingAbility to consistently lift over 50 pounds as neededRequired Experience:

Previous heavy equipment and/or mining experienceRequired Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

For this position, being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
