Job Summary:

The position of Human Resource Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration and coordination of human resources benefit & recognition programs, coordinate HRIS data and workflow, and reporting.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:Prepares and submits monthly provider premium billings; 401(k), enrollments and distributions; health care enrollment transmittals including COBRA information and census reports through reconciliation of HRIS database.Assures eligibility, reviews applications, monitors claim status, notifies appropriate parties.Reviews all benefit changes requested through Employee Self Service.Administers open enrollment of benefit plans.Conduct new employee enrollment meetings during bi-weekly new employee orientation sessions.Works with the communication department to distribute benefits communication in a timely manner to employees.Administers the annual Wellness Program to ensure compliance with HIPAA and DOL regulations. Updates employee records in HRIS.Works with core HR team to assure the company remains compliant with regulations including ERISA, IRS Section 401(k), IRS Section 125, FMLA, and USERRA and maintains employee benefit files.Act as direct contact (verbal and/or written communication) for employees to address benefit issues with third-party vendors.Researches and responds to employee and beneficiary questions and requests for information.Administers leaves of absence with third party vendors and provides employee communications and overall leave management.Administers year of service & employee perks programs.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Current knowledge of and ability to apply local, state & federal benefit laws.Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement.Working knowledge of compliance with the regulations impacting benefit administration is essential.Multi-state benefits administration experience is preferred.Proven excellent reporting, written communications, and presentation skills.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, employees, and vendors.Latest computer technology and software packages (UKG, Excel, PowerPoint, Word,).Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of benefit experience (exclusively or in a generalist capacity).Minimum of 3-5 years of HRIS experience (UKG experience preferred)
