POSITION SUMMARYAs a United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) staff member assigned to support the Texas Instruments (TI) United Way campaign, this position will plan and implement volunteer opportunities and fundraising events (with direction from the TI volunteer and employee giving managers), give presentations to educate, motivate, and train employees, and handle administrative tasks related to the TI United Way campaign.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend UWMD orientation to learn how UWMD operates and supports TI leading up to and during the campaign.

Complete TI onboarding and training to understand campaign timeline and general overview of processes.

Manage campaign fundraiser events including giving platform expertise, tracking events, and collecting cash, etc.

Provide support to TI Worldwide Volunteer Manager as needed including event management, transportation logistics and kit assembly processes, etc.

Assist and/or own various campaign events such as TI’s campaign kickoff, Women of Tocqueville event, etc.

Speak at employee meetings and events to motivate, and educate on UWMD’s focus areas, the history between TI and UW and how the partnership benefits the community.

Work closely with TI’s Communications Associate to execute a campaign plan for the New Employee Network to engage TI’s younger employee demographic.

Work closely with TI’s Communications Associate to manage TI’s online Campaign Resource Center.

Gather account information such as volunteer contact information and employee counts to submit to administrative staff for input into United Way’s database.

Manage internal tracking and report donor contributions (payroll deduction pledges, cash and checks) to the United Way Corporate Account representative and the UWMD finance office.

Exhibit personal commitment to the success of the campaign through quality work, team collaboration, and timely customer service.

Additional campaign tasks and projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2-3 years of fundraising and/or work experience in areas of customer service, sales, project administration, managing special events.
