Procurement SupervisorFisher’s is seeking a qualified individual with strong leadership abilities and good problem-solving skills to fill our Procurement Supervisor position in our Operations Department. This position is responsible for supervising the Purchasing Team and helping deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Operations Procurement Supervisor works with the Operations Manager to lead the Purchasing Department and foster a positive work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervising and providing guidance to purchasing staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting regular performance evaluations
Leading weekly team meetings to communicate updates, discuss challenges, and strategize on improving purchasing processes and performance
Managing timecard submissions and approvals for purchasing staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
Handling internal and external customer escalations, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring satisfactory resolution
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities
Providing training and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in procurement practices
Collaborate closely with and report data to the Operations Manager to align purchasing activities with overall operational goals and objectives
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand departmental needs and requirements
Foster transparent communication channels to address issues, share updates, and coordinate procurement efforts effectively
Qualification & Education Requirements
Four-year degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with previous supervising experience
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction and cultivate positive relationships with internal customers through responsive communication
Strong understanding of procurement processes supplier relationship management
Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively manage and motivate a team of purchasing professionals
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions
