This is a full-time, twelve (12) month, non-tenure track Extension faculty position. Faculty rank is dependent upon the candidate’s academic credentials and professional experience and is subject to review by the Extension Promotion Committee.CSU Extension and Archuleta County are seeking an Extension Director and Specialist, with the experience and skills to lead diverse and inclusive Extension programs. The person will provide leadership and organization in the development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of educational programs in Archuleta County and assisting other counties as appropriate. The individual will be an effective communicator with the experience and skills to engage with a variety of people and groups.Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires), Valid Driver’s License, Travel - Day travel in Archuleta County and surrounding counties, occasional overnight and weekend travel in Colorado will be necessary.Required Job Qualifications:Completed bachelor’s degree in natural resources, agriculture, horticulture, human or community development, social or behavioral sciences or closely related field.3+ years experience relevant to the Essential Job Duties of this position.Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license by the employment start date.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date.Preferred Job Qualifications:Master’s degree in a relevant field.Ability to communicate through teaching, public speaking, and writing.Ability to plan, organize, work, and interact with diverse populations.Ability to secure external funding in support of the land grant mission.References RequestedJob Duties

Educate:Develop and conduct educational programming in response to local needs.Work collaboratively with local government and organizational partners.Create:Develop programming for diverse audiences and assure compliance with civil rights policies.Connect:Communicate and coordinate resources with faculty/staff at CSU and community organizations.Administration:Provide leadership and serve as a local Extension spokesperson.
