The Manager Operational Safety is responsible for ensuring that appropriate standards are established and maintained to provide the highest level of safety for Breeze Airways operations.The Manager will lead key operational safety programs, to include Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), safety investigations, Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA), Occupational (OSHA) and Environmental Safety Programs, and indirectly support the sustainability and improvement of the Breeze Airways Safety Management Systems (SMS).Here’s what you’ll do

Partner with key stakeholders on the management and improvement of the Flight Operations, Inflight Operations, Airport Operations, and Technical Operations safety performanceOversee and manage the proper functioning of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance Program (FOQA)Lead cross-divisional and high-severity safety investigationsManage the Company Fatigue Risk Management Program (FRMP) and Review BoardManage the Breeze Airways Occupational Safety program, to include:

Serving as company point of contact with local and national OSHA regulatory agenciesOverseeing local station safety committees across the Breeze networkManage, calculate, and monitor employee injury metrics

Oversee the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Aircraft Drinking Water ProgramPartner with all Operating Division leaders to ensure robust analysis of safety performance risk and ensure effective visibility to mitigation effortsLead and facilitate cross-divisional safety risk assessment (SRA) reviewsServe as Party Coordinator during all National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) accident or incident investigationsActive member of the Breeze Airways Flight Operations Standards Board (FOSB), Technical Operations Continuous Analysis Surveillance (CAS) Board, Airport Operations Safety Meeting, and Inflight Operations Safety Meetings.Work with management to develop risk-based tools and techniques to strengthen operational programs, processes and controlsPartner with the Manager SMS & ASAP on the promotion and sustainability of the Operations Divisions Aviation Safety Action Program’s (ASAP)Attend other industry and air carrier meetings as applicable concerning Flight Safety issuesMaintain contact with other air carriers and trade organizations to maintain an interchange of industry safety concernsRegularly fly the line to maintain awareness of line related issuesManage SMS promotion responsibilities for all operational divisions to include Safety Bulletins, Safety Newsletters, and front-line awareness of abnormal occurrences, events, and trends.Support the VP Flight Operations, VP Airport Operations, VP Technical Operations, and Director Inflight with regular briefings on safety performanceMaintain the readiness of the Breeze Airways NTSB Accident Investigation TeamMaintain proficiency in Accident and Incident Investigative Techniques, Photographic documentation and technical skills, Human Factors continuing education, safety research, and Investigation AnalysisPerform all other duties/projects as assignedAchieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Airways values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and ExcellenceHere’s what you need to be successful
