Under broad direction, may support one or more related categories as directed by Portfolio and Category Leadership.Implement strategic sourcing and category strategies in accordance with policies and procedures.Contribute to assessment of current market situations and identification of opportunities.Contribute to detailed planning and execution of improvement actions with users and suppliers.Negotiate with suppliers and prepare contracts and agreements under the direction of Category Manager.Recommend value-added projects/opportunities.Coordinate training of category community and field personnel.Act as an interface between business and supplier for category, resolving category issues.May represent the Category Manager on teams and councils, as assigned.Participate in supply chain governance and performance management activities.Facilitate and conduct analysis of supply chain data including company and industry trends in key categories and supplier groups to support supply chain teams.Take ownership of reporting using internal data and industry trends, and compile research using third-party data. Identify and propose automations and efficiency improvements, leveraging technology, that will address critical projects and business needs.Develop, enhance, test and implement analytical reports to support supply chain processes and required metrics. Utilize various data sources to assemble, analyze and provide deep business insights from the data.Lead or assist smaller scale projects and interact with vendors to enable project outcomes. Present data findings and deep business insights to various levels of management, including direct supervisor and executive leadership.Requirements:

Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Science, Marketing, Business, or Supply Chain Management or similar discipline and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.Certification as a Supply Chain Professional preferred.Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
