The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving sales. Duties include forecasting and achieving annual objectives for sales, margins, and volume growth. Your main focus will be securing business from prospective and current accounts in an effort to meet sales objectives. Previous industry sales experience is a plus; additional sales & technical training is provided. The role requires working autonomously on a day-to-day basis with minimal supervision, managing time effectively, and maintaining control over all current projects/responsibilities. Follows up on all relevant issues. The position involves 75% outside the office visiting customers within a regional geographic territory. Other duties include:Profitable revenue growth, including robust new business development.Achieve stated gross margin targets as a percentage of sales.Approach the sales process with professionalism and effectiveness by utilizing customer-centric selling skills and tools, such as scorecards, business reviews, EVE tools, and effective CRM system management.Establish, track, and close new business targets consistent with long-term growth objectives.Implement marketing programs and provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities.Establish account development plans and network resources across both the customer’s organization and the company.Develop, execute, and manage sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets.Prospecting and cold calling.Contribute to the company's planning of both long- and short-term business objectives, including periodic sales forecasts and sales volume goals.Exercise discretion and judgment with respect to specific selling activities, including solutions for specific applications and markets.Work directly and cooperatively with channel partners to close business based on customer purchasing requirements.Maintain current accounts and develop new accounts, including independent assessment of customer needs and competitive pressures.Serve as a primary company representative at trade shows, conferences, and promotional settings as required.Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics as required.Establish selling strategy/tactics; obtain orders and establish new accounts; plan and organize daily work; analyze customer requirements and recommend company product solutions.Keep Sales Manager informed of progress through regular activity reports/communications.Add customer value by acting as a business consultant to customers’ key management; develop a thorough understanding of customers’ business, overall strategy, and operational issues.Implement marketing programs and provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities; recommend changes in company product/service mix based on product results and competitive developments.Knowledge & Skills

Requires a BS degree in Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related discipline and 10+ years of sales experience in distribution, manufacturing, sales, and account management.
