www.ucihealth.org.Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:Under the close supervision of the Enforcement Lead, incumbent assists staff, patients, and visitors in maintaining compliance with parking rules and regulations. Incumbent will patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle and issue parking violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices for illegal parking, and will boot or tow vehicles as necessary. Monitor parking areas for safety/security related situations reporting any activity to the UC Health Public Safety Department as needed or UC Health Police.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Working knowledge of computer systems and softwareSkill in interacting diplomatically and courteously with the public in a high volume, public contact setting involving guests, faculty, staff, students, hospital patients, and visitors to Medical Center.Required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process and maintain the successful completion of an FBI fingerprinting process throughout employment.Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesMust possess and maintain a valid California driver's licenseMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust be available to work alternate work schedules and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishEmployment is contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigationDemonstrated skills in mathematics and cash handling in order to maintain accuracy and accountability regarding cash, ticket handling and refund processing.Ability to work outside and year round in inclement and clement weather, using established foul weather gear provided by the department.Ability to stand and/or walk entire shift.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of parking equipment and supplies such as pay stations, automated valet systems and handheld computers.Knowledge of applicable procedures and regulations concerning parking enforcement and traffic controlConditions of Employment:Background Check and Live ScanLegal Right to Work in the United StatesThe University of California, Irvine is an
