Job Summary:

International Student Services (ISS) seeks an individual committed to international student transition and immigration compliance support in a fast-paced, high demand environment. This position is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of immigration document requests for incoming (admitted) students seeking F-1 or J-1 student immigration status. Requires strong attention to detail and commitment to student data privacy and data integrity.This position reports to the assistant director for compliance and is an essential member of the Compliance Team (7 staff) within the ISS office (21-23 staff). ISS serves over 7,000 F/J nonimmigrant students and over 2,000 alumni on post-completion employment authorization, in addition to the J-1 student intern program. We utilize Terra Dotta ISSS batch software to maintain F/J international student compliance and communications.Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support for compliance related correspondence and assists in policy interpretation for a designated group or affiliate population in support of maintaining the regulatory compliance of the program.Connects target populations with compliance resources to assist with interpreting laws, regulations, and best practices; and communicates with customers to provide information or answer questionsTracks and maintains records of compliance through various mediumsProvides logistical office support to complete operational tasksTasks:

Support immigration compliance, updates and reporting by serving as Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO)Review bio-demographic, financial, and immigration documentation for F-1 and J-1 student immigration document production and compliance updatesPerform routine immigration status updates, data compliance audits and Terra Dotta process maintenance and improvementsAdvise admitted international students via Information Request, phone, and emailParticipate in regular ISS staff and advising check-in meetings and IS Staff Dialogue SeriesEducation:

Required: Bachelor's degree in international relations, global education, business administration, data science or related fieldQualifications:

Required skills/qualifications:Strong organizational skills and attention to detailCustomer service in a fast-paced environment with competing demandsDemonstrated commitment to social justice education and inclusive accessDemonstrated cross-cultural competency and written/verbal communication skills for diverse and multilingual audiencesPosition requires proof of U.S. citizenship/legal permanent residence to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), per Department of Homeland Security.Preferred skills/qualifications:Previous Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) experienceExperience with Terra Dotta ISSS software and PeopleSoft Student Information SystemExperience living, working, or studying abroadProficiency in one or more languages in addition to EnglishWork Schedule:

The work hours for this position will be from 8:00-4:30 but can be flexible.Work Type:
