Job Responsibilities:Identifies, analyzes, and leads the execution of operational improvement efforts company-wide. Primary focus on direct labor efficiency improvement, purchasing improvement, and overhead efficiency increases. Initiatives likely to include productivity enhancement, procurement efficiency improvement, labor force and labor cost optimization, and, potentially, M&A integration. Oversees global manufacturing and distribution and supervises Chinese General Manager. Reports to the President.Based out of Carrollton, TX (Dallas) Corporate office.Conducts other activities as directed by President.Job Duties:Oversees engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution functions.Identifies, plans, and executes initiatives within the organization to achieve projections and targets.Collaborates closely with other members of the executive team, including CEO, CFO, China GM, etc., to ensure seamless communication, efficient initiative efforts, and strong, effective culture develops.Works closely with the sales, product development, and manufacturing leadership team to ensure effective communication concerning manufacturing methodologies, quality tolerances, and production lead times to optimize client satisfaction and manufacturing costs.Develops and tracks key budget, financial, and operational metrics to ensure the executive team can run the business and the Board can monitor execution and progress against targets.Participates in preparation of the annual budget including analysis and iterations as needed until Board approval.Establishes presence in Dallas, TX headquarters (full-time) and China manufacturing 4-6 times per year, each visit to be 4-6 weeks, to develop relationships and lead specific efforts across the company.Monitors company financials and projections to ensure the executive team and Board have clear visibility of financing issues and risks. Presents risks and proposed mitigation steps as needed.Completes longer-term planning to help develop vision and steps to position the company for future exit.Education/Experience/Qualifications:Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a senior operations executive.Demonstrated success in identifying, pursuing, and achieving operational improvements and integrations.Strong but collaborative presence when working with other senior executives, Board members, and outside parties.Impeccable integrity, attention to detail, accuracy (when preparing reports), and initiative.Prior Custom Manufacturing experience preferred.Prior experience with Chinese Manufacturing required.No agencies, please.
