Technical and administrative duties involved in the collecting, documenting, and preserving of evidence at a crime scene; and related work as required.Shift, weekend, and holiday work is required.High School graduation or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma issued by a State Department of Education.Valid Driver's License.EITHER :

Permanent status as a Crime Scene Associate with the City of New Orleans and one year of crime scene experience.OR :

Two (2) years of full-time experience in crime scene investigation.* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and driver's license claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.This position requires a one-year probationary period.A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes, however credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for related experience gained within the last ten (10) years.Note :
