www.ucihealth.org .Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:The incumbent provides direct supervision to dosimetrists and specialists with external beam radiation treatment planning. Works closely with the Medical Center administration and clinic physicians to ensure seamless operation between all activities of the School of Medicine and Medical Center related to directing and evaluating patient care activities, managing clinical resources, developing and administering operational & capital budgets, and developing & monitoring organizational policy / procedures.Essential Job Functions:Supervises dosimetrists and treatment staff verifying technical soundness and suitability of radiation treatment plans.Ensures compliance with all applicable policies/procedures, laws, regulatory agency requirements, Joint Commission standards and HRSA standards.Develops and maintains quality improvement activities and recommends / implements changes as appropriate.Independently monitors and analyzes financial performance, identifying developing trends in the utilization of resources.Creates an engaged work force and safe work environment for assigned staff.Assists in the design and implementation of quality improvement and compliance initiatives.What It Takes to be SuccessfulRequired Qualifications:Verbal and written communication skills to explain technical radiation treatment concepts.Strong analytical skills to collect and analyze operational data.Must have five (5) years of relevant experience.Medical dosimetry certification.Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Licenses and Certifications:CMD (Required)Conditions of Employment:Background Check and Live ScanLegal Right to Work in the United StatesClosing Statement:The University of California, Irvine is an
