The Product Manager, for US Markets, is responsible for developing marketing plans and executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term US marketing strategy. This position collaborates with cross-functional commercial partners (i.e. Engineering, MedEd, Corp. Accounts, Regulatory, Quality, Operations/Manufacturing, Com. Ops, etc…) to ensure the product / brand / portfolio remains relevant in the market. Responsible and accountable for management and growth of assigned product line(s) in the US. Develops and implements marketing plans, strategies, and objectives through internal personnel and externally through domestic sales channels.Key Responsibilities

Drives customer understanding and insights that defines our prime prospects’ needs, attitudes, and values in order for customers to have stronger and more impactful product/brand/product experiences.Analyzes customer, category, competition, and channel/customer as part of a situation assessment.Conducts analysis and periodical reviews of the product/brand, competitive, category, customer, and customer trends to enhance the product/brand’s equity and marketplace performance.Analyzes and provides customer, category, and product/brand information to support sales in product management and sales presentations.Develops growth targets, business objectives and product/brand strategies for the product/brand that aligns with corporate and business unit plan(s).Steward of the product/brand that supports our product/brand vision, product/brand position, product/brand architecture and achieves overall business goals for the product/brand.Engages, inspires, and galvanizes the organization around the product/brand vision, position, and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.Partners with Medical Education and Professional Affairs to support KOL development and customer education programs.Participates on a cross-functional team to support new products following the process.Analyzes market, customer, and competitive information to identify product improvements/line extensions and new product designs, in partnership with the R&D Team, through the New Product Development (NPD) Process.Works with sales to identify programs to generate incremental sales and/or profitability.Participates in product/brand strategy discussions and in setting a US customer segmentation target.Provides input for innovation summit / advisory board presentations.Develops/implements annual marketing plans and strategies for assigned product line(s).Manages expenses related to area of responsibility.Monitors inventory levels and participates in the management of inventory and demand planning.Supports in defining product-pricing strategy by utilizing market research data.Develops and maintains availability of product literature, technical information, competitor information, sales information, customer training materials, samples, and product availability information to the appropriate sales channel.Supports the development of sales training materials and skills to ensure an adequately trained sales force.Provides field sales support (i.e. Meetings, Society Meetings, Operating Room) as requested.Develops working relationships with surgeons to expand business base.Interacts with and provides direction to other departments to achieve marketing objectives.Develops strategic plans to maximize the effectiveness of new product introductions and phase-outs as to inventory availability and consumption.Education And Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Bachelor’s degree in related field3-5 years of ortho spine experience in the spine surgery market/industry.2 – 4 years of sales or marketing experience in the medical device market/industry; orthopedics/spine preferred.Ability - and desire - to work in an extremely entrepreneurial environment with moderate supervision.Strong understanding and proven ability to collaborate cross functionally to lead organizational change.Strong understanding and proven ability to use advanced marketing analytics.Strong written and verbal skills - you should be a persuasive, engaging, and clinically credible presenter in working with both physicians and customer-facing colleagues.Bioventus requires proof that new hires be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless you are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, pregnancy, or religious belief that prevents you from being vaccinated where allowable under the law.
