Position Summary
The Manager of Procurement is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors per ISO:9001 2015 standards. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement and facilities activities across multiple categories of spend, search for cost savings and find more profitable suppliers. Ensures materials are received in a timely manner and that all processes are completed.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
· Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of development initiatives through metrics and feedback. Manage department operations to meet and exceed scheduling demands set in the business system.
· Manage stock purchases on a monthly basis by analyzing prior purchasing habits, usage reports and current inventory levels to ultimately create a forecast, build and submit the POs to vendors.
· Oversee and work closely with supply chain analyst to determine best options for inventory levels and purchasing stock
· Develop contracts with suppliers to capture additional savings
· Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
· Perform cost, and scenario analysis and benchmarking
· Assess, manage and mitigate risks
· Perform regular reviews of vendors regarding performance and negotiation of pricing
· Perform regular reviews with SC Analyst current inventory levels to ensure materials are available for sale
· Maintain relationships with local vendors for infrastructure repair needs
· Adjust planning, as needed, to accommodate changing priorities
· Manage Open Order Reports with suppliers
· Cooperate effectively with other departments to achieve company goals
· Other projects as assigned
Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Supply Chain Management; or equivalent experience
Experience Required
Demonstrated experience as a purchasing manager, agent or officer in a manufacturing environment
Experience with SyteLine ERP/MRP a plus
Required Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and ISO compliance
Skills/Abilities
Strong negotiation and networking skills
Effective employee and time management skills
Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment
Travel may be at least 15%.
