Reporting to and supporting the Director of Assessment, the Senior Assessment Coordinator will provide leadership for the assessment of student learning outcomes for the University’s academic programs and administrative units through training and support for assessment activities and technologies that assist with collecting and interpreting student learning or unit outcome data.This position will facilitate the development and implementation of effective assessment strategies, approaches, practices, and resources to support faculty and staff. The Senior Assessment Coordinator will also support ongoing assessment of the general education Core Curriculum offered through the Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC).Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with institutional accrediting body standards (SACSCOC) for the assessment of administrative units, academic programs, and student support units.Facilitate institution-wide assessment of core curriculum outcomes, including developing and providing training on assessment methodologies.Prepare an annual assessment report for internal and external review.Provide consultation to academic and administrative units on effective assessment practices.Develop and provide direct support and training to faculty and staff on assessment software.Maintain guidance materials and resources pertaining to assessment.Serve as an ex officio member of the Newcomb-Tulane College Curriculum Committee.Required Education and Experience

Master's degree in education, instructional design, research methods, program assessment, social sciences, or related field.Minimum of two years of experience in assessment of student learning.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Competencies

Knowledge of research and best practices related to the assessment of student learning in a higher education setting.Experience working with faculty on assessment of student learning outcomes.Experience with writing learning outcomes and developing rubrics.Experience in planning and conducting training sessions in a higher education setting.Effective communication skills to convey complex information to various audiences.Ability to maintain confidentiality of data.Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.Preferred Qualifications

Earned Doctorate.Minimum of four years of experience in assessment of learning in a higher education setting.Knowledge and experience with using a Learning Management System (LMS) for assessment.Knowledge and experience working with Power BI software for data analysis.
