Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of purchasing to support organizational operations efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in Product Information Management (PIM), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Supply Chain Management Systems (SMS), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supply chain automation deployment and integration, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.

Establishes clear team expectations; roles, rocks, and measurables.

Manages, assesses, and develops staff, identifies skill and capacity gaps, and creates and implements plans to close those gaps.

Ensures team actions and decisions are in line with CDF’s Core Values and Core Focus.

Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cost, efficiency, and quality.

Manage the entire procurement process, including supporting supplier selection, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and procurement operations.

Primary stakeholder in supply chain automation projects from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, sales, operations, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.

Analyze market trends and supplier performance to adjust purchasing strategies as necessary.

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and procurement.

Manufacturing Experience Required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent documented experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing management role, with a strong emphasis on technology-driven processes.

In-depth knowledge of PIM, WMS, SMS, EDI, and ERP systems.

Demonstrated experience in supply chain automation deployment and integration.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay:

$103,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
