Position Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects and initiatives within our business to optimize product launch and/or production processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. This role is crucial in driving the plant's success and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Project Management:Plan, execute, and close projects related to manufacturing operations, including process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and new product introductions.Develop project scopes, objectives, and timelines, ensuring alignment with the plant's strategic goals.

Cross-functional Collaboration:Collaborate with various departments, including production, engineering, quality control, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.Foster effective communication and cooperation among team members to achieve project goals.

Resource Allocation:Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure the successful execution of projects.Monitor and control project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.Proactively address any issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables.

Continuous Improvement:Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.Implement best practices and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the plant.

Reporting and Documentation:Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure that all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality.

Team Leadership:Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to project teams, promoting a high-performance work environment.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Proven experience as a Project Manager (and/or Account Management) in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Automation or Material Handling Industry, OEM and/or major account experience is preferred. Industrial Automation and/or warehouse solutions experience is a plus.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications.Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is desirable.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control principles.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.Travel to customer, supplier, and CVG locations - up to 20% annually.
