Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer / Senior Design Engineer, with an Arkansas PE License, to be a Senior Project Manager with our growing Northwest Arkansas Transportation Practice. The candidate will office out of our Bentonville, AR or Fayetteville, AR office location. The ideal candidate will bring Municipal and DOT roadway design experience. This role will allow you the opportunity to gain ever increasing professional responsibility. Responsibilities:
Works under a Team Leader in leading the development and delivery of roadway design projects
Leads delivery of transportation design projects for ARDOT and municipalities
Manages multiple transportation tasks or projects in support of business needs
Manages subconsultants and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff
Develops and manages project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Reviews transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency
Reports on project progress and budgets
Collaborates with clients and other consultants
Assists with business development activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in public works or roadway / transportation project delivery
Professional Engineer (PE) License required (Arkansas preferred)
Ability to lead a project and supervise technical staff
Client interaction and development along with project production
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
The candidate should have a positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player and a person of high character with a focus on quality, integrity and success
Municipal and DOT roadway design experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
Working knowledge of MicroStation, Inroads and OpenRoads preferred
