We are seeking an entry level accountant to join our team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting efforts in a multifaceted group of companies. This position will have a wide range of responsibilities impacting the financial statement and control environments for a group of operational, development, and construction entities.
Accounts Payable:Process and manage accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payments.Request W9 forms from vendors.Collect banking information from vendors for electronic payments.Research past-due invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors.Collaborate with operations for invoice approvals.Payroll
Validate hours, deductions, and process payroll accurately.Review new hire packets for completeness and accuracy.Coordinate with operations to meet payroll deadlines.Complete I9 forms and E-Verify processes.Monthly Closing
Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.Reconcile bank statements to ensure the accuracy of financial records.Prepare monthly Lodging, Accommodations, and Sales & Use Tax returns.Provide backup support to operations for financial reviews.Analyze revenue across multiple revenue sources/systems.Manage and dispute credit card chargebacks timely.Qualifications:
Accounting Degree (associate or bachelors)Experience in the Accounting or bookkeeping field a plus, but not requiredUnderstanding of GAAP accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Experience in development, construction, hospitality, restaurants a plusExperience with various accounting software packages with proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Paychex a plus.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
