AMVAC, an American Vanguard company is seeking a
HR Business Partner
(HRBP) to design and lead programs that focus on achieving Business Unit goals in alignment with the company’s mission. The HRBP will be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial team that will set new ways of working within the organization to establish more robust and standardized HR practices globally.The HR Business Partner will work closely with leadership teams to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures. The role will focus on creating standards for performance management and learning & development aligning with your HRBP counterparts across multiple international regions. The HRBP will be responsible for executing compensation and talent management strategies customized to the diverse needs and regulatory requirements of each region.The HR Business Partner must demonstrate deep expertise in facilitating performance reviews, addressing employee grievances, developing training programs, and onboarding new hires with an ability to balance competing priorities. The HRBP must also adhere to local requirements and needs while maintaining compliance with all relevant international laws and regulations. The role requires strong communication skills and the desire to serve as a strategic partner providing HR advice and guidance on both local and international HR practices.RESPONSIBILITIESLead the execution and adaptation of HR programs and practices including performance success, compensation, workforce planning & management, and talent management.Provide strong organization, planning, and project management for the HR objectives in support of multiple Business Units (BUs) globally.Lead global change management efforts ensuring cross-cultural sensitivity and implement effective communication strategies tailored to different regions.Analyze business needs to develop and support the talent management strategy for American Vanguard globally; influence hiring, succession, and promotion decisions.Define global HR strategies and initiatives that drive achievement of business goals in partnership with Business Unit (BU) and Human Resources (HR) leaders.Oversee the performance management process to include reviewing and advising management regarding corrective action to improve performance and recognition programs to motivate exceptional performers.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree Required; Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.7+ years' experience establishing and deploying HR best practices to drive consistency globally.Fluent in English and Spanish (at a business level).5+ years of Global progressive HR experience in LATAM / ASIA / EMEA regions effectively managing cultural nuances with local & regional collaborators.Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS (ADP WFN) platforms experience.Polished communication skills and experience communicating effectively with a variety of internal stakeholders including HR peers, BU executives, functional leaders, employees of all levels.Highly organized and results driven with proven ability to run end-to-end initiatives.Working for a public company with stock incentives desired, manufacturing or agricultural experience a plus.Mindset & BehaviorsAbility to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with BU and HR teams.Structured with ability to prioritize across a multitude of business priorities.Self-directed to work with HRBP counterpart to establish global standards where needed.Believes in a culture of transparency and trust and continuous improvement mindset.Open-minded and values working with a team to achieve results.AMVAC / American Vanguard Corporation OffersHealth insurance including Medical (PPO), Dental, and Vision offered at low cost to employees.Life; AD&D insurance for employees and their families.401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer matching after 30 days.Employee Stock Purchasing Plan (ESPP) with employee discount [NYSE: AVD].Compensation $95K - $110K annual salary depending on experience.Health Savings Account (HSA) / Flexible Spending Account (FSA) available.Wellness program; tuition reimbursement and other benefits.GYM access; paid parking; centrally located directly across from Orange County Airport.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
