Position: Accounting Manager
Overview
We are partnering with a prominent local nonprofit to find an experienced Accounting Manager. This role will provide crucial financial leadership and oversight, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial records, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Direct and manage the daily financial operations of the organization.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee cash flow management, including performing bank reconciliations and forecasting.
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and guide a team of finance professionals.
- Provide training and professional development for team members.
- Distribute and review tasks to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to spot trends and areas for improvement.
- Assist with grant reporting and compliance requirements.
Internal Controls:
- Develop and enforce internal controls to protect assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and evaluations.
- Support external audits and reviews.
Special Projects:
- Collaborate with program directors and staff to offer financial insights and support.
- Lead special projects as needed to advance the organization's financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of finance experience, with prior supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
Salary $85,000-90,000
