Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor: The Auburn University Physical Therapy Program in the School of Kinesiology seeks to hire three highly collaborative faculty members for twelve-month full-time clinical faculty (non-tenure eligible) positions. These positions will begin in January of 2025 and are for faculty with expertise in Physical Therapy.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESTeach entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy courses in support of the program.Advise and mentor DPT students.Direct student clinical case-studies and projects.Participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the program and school.Provide institutional service as assigned by the department head and engage in professional service within the discipline.Participate in professional activities as needed to ensure the well-being of the program, school, and college.The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.Minimum QualificationsPhysical Therapist with Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the time of employment.Licensed or eligible for US-PT licensure in Alabama at the time of employment.Contemporary scholarship, practice expertise, and teaching experience in relevant areas of physical therapy.Effective interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to the values and priorities of the College of Education.Desired QualificationsExperience teaching in entry-level DPT education program is desired.Board certification or exceptional clinical experience is highly desirable.Record of advising, engaging, and mentoring DPT and/or PhD students.Record of collaboration across the department, university, and/or the field of physical therapy higher education.Special Instructions to ApplicantsAPPLICATION:
