The School of Kinesiology's mission is to discover, implement, and disseminate knowledge about physical activity, movement, exercise, health, and performance. The hired candidate will have their own dedicated lab space. The School of Kinesiology offers undergraduate and master's degrees in Exercise Science; Exercise, Performance, and Health Optimization; Physical Education Teacher Education; and a doctoral program in Kinesiology.POSITION:

Assistant/Associate Professor: The Auburn University Physical Therapy (AUPT) Program in the School of Kinesiology seeks to hire three twelve-month tenure-track faculty members at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank with expertise in Physical Therapy to begin in January of 2025. These positions are part of a group of faculty members who will be hired at Auburn University and will be the core faculty for the brand-new Physical Therapy Program.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Engage in rigorous research resulting in scholarly publications.Teach entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy courses.Advise and mentor graduate students.Direct student research including projects, theses, and dissertations.Participate in the planning and implementation of curricular changes for the program and School.Provide institutional service as assigned by the department head.Minimum Qualifications:Physical Therapist with terminal academic doctorate degree (e.g. PhD, EdD, DSc).Licensed or eligible for US-PT licensure in Alabama.Experience or demonstrated potential to teach graduate courses.Record of research in Physical Therapy and contemporary scholarship.Evidence of extramural support or demonstrated potential to secure extramural support.Effective interpersonal and communication skills.Scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals.Special Instructions to Applicants:APPLICATION:
