Director of High School InitiativesThe Director of High School Initiatives is responsible for the administration, development, and implementation of department initiatives. Oversees and manages the High School Initiatives Department and supervises employees while providing a diverse range of support to the development and administration of department goals and objectives. The person in this position will:Develop and implement a system for tracking data on dual high school and articulated credit enrollees and graduates, focusing on completion and graduation rates from the technical college.Provide regular data reports to inform program success and areas for improvement.Lead the development and execution of dual and joint enrollment programs, ensuring a smooth process from enrollment to graduation.Regularly review and maintain up-to-date written procedures and policies for dual enrollment to ensure clarity and compliance with regulations.Serve as the primary liaison with high school administrators, counselors, and staff, promoting Career and Technical Education (CTE) and dual enrollment programs within the service delivery area.Establish strong partnerships with high schools to ensure efficient coordination for registration, articulation testing, and student withdrawal processes.Work with high schools and college management to finalize and maintain dual enrollment and articulation agreements.Ensure articulation testing is coordinated effectively within the service delivery area.Oversee recruitment efforts to increase dual enrolled student participation and focus on converting dual enrollment students into full-time college students after high school graduation.Ensure timely and accurate processing of dual enrollment and Dual Achievement Program (DAP) financial aid applications.Work closely with financial aid personnel to maintain funding compliance and maximize student benefits.Monitor personnel activities to ensure alignment with TCSG policies and department procedures.Continuously assess policies and procedures, recommending improvements that enhance the program’s effectiveness and compliance with national standards.Assist in coordinating special projects and initiatives that promote dual enrollment and support program growth.Oversee data collection and research to support national accreditation efforts for the dual enrollment program.Plan and assist in delivering an engaging and informative Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation to ensure students and parents are well-prepared for success.Maintain up-to-date content on the High School Initiatives webpage to provide current information to students, parents, and staff.Represent High School Initiatives and GPTC at local, state, and national events to raise awareness and promote dual enrollment opportunities.Stay informed on relevant policies, procedures, and legislation impacting dual enrollment and special initiatives, flexibly manage other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success and innovation of special initiatives at the college.Minimum Requirements:Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.
