MAC Ski and Snowboard is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced part-time, seasonal Assistant Coach to join our Freeride Competition Ski Team at both the Multnomah Athletic Club and Mt. Hood Meadows.The RoleAt MAC Ski and Snowboard, we’re dedicated to developing skilled, well-rounded athletes who excel in all-mountain skiing and riding. Our program focuses on comprehensive training, from backcountry safety and avalanche awareness to competitive skill development. As we continue to grow and send athletes to prestigious events like the USASA Freeride Nationals, we need enthusiastic coaches who thrive in a positive, supportive team environment.What You’ll DoWeekend and Seasonal Coaching: Begin with weekend sessions in December, followed by Holiday Camp (December 27-30), and continue through weekends from January to March, including Nationals in April.Training Across Disciplines: Work closely with athletes to develop their skills in Skicross, Half-Pipe, Slopestyle, Moguls, and Big-Mountain.Team Collaboration: Report to the Head Freeride Team Ski Coach and Program Director/Head Coach, contributing to a cohesive team strategy and fostering a positive team culture.What You’ll BringCertifications: Current professional certification from US Ski and Snowboard, PSIA, USASA, or IFSA, or a proven competitive background in snow sports as an athlete or coach.Prior Experience: Prior experience coaching competitive teams in snow sports.Organizational Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and time-management abilities.Tech Savvy: Proficient in computer and smartphone applications including email, Microsoft Office, Dayforce App, and Team Snap for scheduling and communication.Physical Requirements: Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the coaching position, including, but not limited to, long periods of standing & walking, skiing, etc.What You’ll GainCompetitive Pay: Base hourly rate with potential increases based on experience and certifications.Season Pass: Enjoy a free season pass to Mt.
