MAC is all of those things and more.The Role:Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Competitive Swim Assistant Coach to enhance our youth swim program. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing athletes aged 5-18 years, offering up to 20 hours of coaching each week. This position requires flexibility for additional meet and travel commitments. Provide hands-on coaching for youth athletes across various squads, focusing on skill development and athletic progression.Practice Planning:

Design and implement effective practice sessions that align with seasonal objectives and individual athlete needs.Communication:

Manage communication with athletes and their families, including squad management and new athlete registration.Event Coordination:

Plan and execute events, including swim meets and summer swim camps, ensuring all logistical and administrative details are handled.Administrative Duties:

Utilize tools such as MS Office, TeamUnify, and HyTek for scheduling, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.Collaboration:

Work closely with the Head Coach and Age Group Coach to support practice planning, athlete education, and travel arrangements.Participation in Meets:

Attend and support swim meets and local travel as required to ensure comprehensive team engagement.What You’ll Bring:Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience with novice through championship-level age group swimmers.Education:

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant work experience in a coaching capacity.Certifications:

Current Coach Member status with USA Swimming, SafeSport, and Lifeguard Certification.Technical Skills:

Proficiency with TeamUnify and Microsoft Office; strong organizational and administrative capabilities.Coaching Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of competitive swim techniques and the ability to create a positive, growth-oriented training environment.Communication Skills:
