The Pathology team is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist, Molecular Histologist. Experience performing and evaluating immunohistochemistry and/or in situ hybridization is essential. Interpretation of labeled specimens requires an understanding of anatomy and histology and an ability to identify specific cell populations in tissue sections. Quantitative morphometrics and/or AI-assisted image analysis will be a component of the role. Multiple imaging modalities will be employed including chromogenic and multiplex fluorescence microscopy, spatial-seq, and when applicable confocal and electron microscopy.Key Responsibilities

Antibody optimization for immunohistochemistryPerforms immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization proceduresAnalyzes and evaluates assays for sensitivity and specificityMounts, labels and distributes or scans prepared microscope slides to pathologists or to appropriate areas for interpretationQuantitative morphometrics and/or AI-assisted image analysis will be a component of the role. Multiple imaging modalities will be employed including chromogenic and multiplex fluorescence microscopy, spatial-seq, and when applicable confocal and electron microscopy.Responsible for maintaining reagents, preventative maintenance procedures and troubleshooting for relevant equipmentProficiency in tissue trimming/embedding and microtome/cryostat tissue sectioningMaintain regulatory compliance and SOPsCross-functional collaboration with the research group and broadly with other departments throughout the companySome workday hours flexibility depended on study needs.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

BS in life sciences with 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience or Masters degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.

Essential skills:

Demonstrated ability performing IHC and/or ISH.Experience performing AI-assisted image analysis and quantitative morphometrics (ie HALO etc)

Desirable skills:

Experience in biotechnology or CRO-based pathology laboratory settingExperience with Ventana, Leica or other automated immunostainersExperience with ACD RNAscopeExperience with data entryExperience with Image capture and Image Analysis (HALO etc)Experience collecting and reporting laboratory metricsSolid report writing skills
