Mission:
The Traditions Worship Leader will collaborate with the Traditions team and the Global Worship Team to create and lead a worship experience that is engaging and life-bringing to those attending our Traditions service, inspires and equips hundreds of attenders to point their friends toward life in Jesus, and learns, models, and shares the DNA of Canyon Ridge with the worship team.
Outcomes:
Improve the musicality of Traditions worship in musicians and vocalists:
The Traditions Worship Leader is responsible for scheduling and equipping musicians and vocalists with all the material they will need to create an excellent, spirit-led worship service. This includes providing chord charts, vocal scans, and recordings.
Provide opportunities for musicians/vocalists to lead in new ways. We are a people who pass on what has been given to us.
Audition and develop new musicians/vocalists regularly.
Lead Thursday and Sunday morning rehearsals/run-throughs.
Provide an engaging worship experience for the Traditions congregation:
Responsible for transitions throughout the service. Invite contributions wherever it is helpful. This includes prayer moments, scripture readings, announcements, call to worship, etc.
Coordinate with the Traditions pastor to make sure the services align with Canyon Ridge's vision and scripture.
Coordinate with the production team for slides and CCLI needs.
Provide Administrative Assistant support to the Pastor of Traditions:
Schedule and participate in Traditions Key Leaders Meetings.
Assist in planning and executing quarterly Traditions Fellowship Nights.
Assist in planning and executing annual Traditions Retreats.
Communicate with Traditions admin.
Stay connected with Canyon Ridge as a whole.
Schedule a daily reading of church emails.
Attend weekly eval meetings.
Attend weekly production meetings.
Attend monthly staff meetings and staff chapels.
Attend worship leader meetings when scheduled.
Encourage worship team members to attend Team Nights.
Represent Traditions at Volunteer Orientation events.
Competencies:
Has a personal relationship with Jesus that is evident by the way he/she lives his/her life.
Must love people and have a heart for developing people: musically, personally, and spiritually.
Strong spiritual health. Attentive to the Holy Spirit.
Collaboration & teamwork is a driver.
Coachable and willing to be led.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create/communicate vision.
Proactive. Bring new ideas to the team. Steps in to lead when there are gaps.
Able to prioritize job responsibilities.
Proficient in technology used at CRCC.
