Job Description:

In this position you will be required to ensure the behavior of the crew (when working on a client site) is in accordance with company safety culture. A qualified candidate understands the lagging and leading safety indicators and promotes a philosophy that achieves established goals. You must have knowledge of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements and tracking of training.

Responsibilities as a Safety Supervisor:

Manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage.

Use and enforce job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety program to ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site.

Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.

Conduct daily and/or weekly job site inspections.

Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.

Investigate, corroborate, document all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.

Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.

Conduct weekly "Toolbox Safety Meeting" and document content and attendance.

Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.

Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guidelines.

Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations.

Additional Information:

Paid weekly, per diem available, mobilization pay.

Minimum 12-week job.

Minimum Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of Construction Industry methods and OSHA standards.

OSHA 30 Construction Industry Certification, OSHA 500 and/or its equivalent.

5-10 years safety experience in construction industry.

Bilingual (Spanish).

Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
