Responsibilities:

As an EHS Professional, your key responsibility will be to manage and enforce the Site Safety Program for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job-specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety programs, the EHS Professional shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site, resulting in an accident/incident-free project.

Specific duties include:

Enforcing safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.

Conducting daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections.

Recording observations from site inspections and completing required reports.

Investigating, corroborating, and documenting all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.

Recommending and implementing corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.

Conducting weekly Safety Meetings and documenting content and attendance.

Conducting Safety Orientation for new employees.

Advising project staff on site-specific safety issues/guidelines.

Evaluating the need for safety training and making recommendations.

Minimum Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of construction methods and OSHA standards.

OSHA 30 General Industry Certification; OSHA 510 is a plus.

5-10 years safety experience in construction or conveyor industry.

Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
