Provide instruction, advisement, evaluation of student performance, and supervision to Physician Assistant (PA) students that culminate in the fulfillment of programmatic competencies. To design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the PA curriculum and program. To support and propagate the mission of the College of Health Sciences and the institution.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) full-time higher education teaching years and a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.PREFERENCE: Will be given to individuals possessing a Doctorate degree and to those possessing five (5) years of prior full-time higher education experience.Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and coordinate instructional methodologies for achieving course learning outcomes.Responsible for content creation and delivery of prescribed curriculum, and course management.Develop and implement methods of student evaluation and remediation.Evaluate student performance and ensure the availability of remedial instruction. Maintain appropriate student records.Advise and mentor students to address academic issues and refer as appropriate for academic/personal issues.Assist and actively engage in curriculum and PA program development, implementation, evaluation.Review and revise program mission, goals, and competencies as necessary.Assist PA program in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.Facilitate program workshops, OSCEs, and skills training sessions for the didactic and clinical phases of the curriculum.Perform services related to the program, college, university, community, and profession. Participate in applicant interviews and select applicants for admission to the program.Perform research and/or scholarly activities.Participate routinely in professional development activities. Provide peer mentorship to new faculty.Clinical Practice: opportunities exist for release time to perform clinical work in PA’s area of expertise.Participate in departmental recruitment and hiring activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Work Schedule
