Instructional Support Specialist

in our Devereux Day Academy, located in Landenberg, PA!Being an Instructional Support Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages:You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position will support the teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients. You will assist in the implementation of basic educational programming and perform duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher, including individual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs.Shift:

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year-round position)Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:Ensure the health and safety of the studentsProvide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needsSupport the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress dailySupport and reinforce PBIS goals and objectivesYou will be offered:Sign on Bonus:

High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
