Position Overview:

The EH&S Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) programs across multiple sites. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies by conducting audits, managing risk assessments, and implementing safety measures. The manager will lead the design and delivery of EH&S training programs, handle regulatory reporting, and drive continuous improvement in EH&S performance across all locations. Key responsibilities include managing incident investigations, overseeing environmental initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EH&S management, possess relevant certifications, and demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage EH&S programs in a multi-site environment.

Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.

Risk Management:

Assess workplace hazards and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries. Develop emergency response plans and oversee incident investigations.

Training & Awareness:

Design and deliver EH&S training programs for employees, including safety procedures, emergency response, and environmental practices.

Regulatory Reporting:

Prepare and submit required EH&S reports and documentation to regulatory agencies. Ensure the organization meets all environmental and safety reporting obligations.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor and analyze EH&S performance metrics. Propose and implement improvements to enhance workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with management and staff to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Serve as the point of contact for all EH&S-related inquiries and concerns.

Incident Management:

Lead investigations of accidents and near-misses, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions are taken.

Environmental Management:

Oversee waste management, pollution control, and other environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Relevant EH&S certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.

Proven experience in EH&S management is required, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations and best practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
