Full Stack Software Engineer

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Full Stack Software Developer to support programs focusing on optimization of satellite scheduling for missile detection. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python, thrive as part of a rapidly paced, collaborative, small-team environment consisting of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers, and be able to prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Work independently and with a team to develop additional software features to satisfy contract requirementsAssist in containerization, testing, and deployment of software for delivery to customersParticipate in agile software development including design, implementation and deploymentCollaborate with other developers to integrate and provide documentation of features into existing and new projectsOther duties as assignedRequirements

A bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science4+ years professional software engineering experienceFamiliarity with microservice architecturesBackground in statisticsStrong proficiency with PythonInterest in analysis workDemonstratable understanding of principles related to software engineeringCommitment to quality in code and software engineering practicesThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearanceDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication skillsCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred

An advanced degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer scienceExperience with CesiumProfessional experience with DevOps processes and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI/CDExperience with SQL, PostGIS, RedisExperience with OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed dataA current DoD security clearance*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.

The pay range for this position is $93,000-$120,000/year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
