Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in welding inspection and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Inspection Responsibilities
    • Monitor and check hold points throughout the shop to ensure quality standards.
    • Conduct examinations and various testing procedures, including hydro testing, radiographic testing (R/T), penetrant testing (P/T), and magnetic particle testing (M/T).
  • Documentation
    • Generate and maintain accurate testing documentation in Excel.
    • Enter test results into customer databooks and ensure data is organized and up to date.
    • Retain documentation and MTR records in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Welding and Standards
    • Perform heat mapping and weld mapping to track quality processes.
    • Assist with weld procedure qualifications.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including B31.3, API-1104, and ASME codes.
Requirements:
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel for documentation purposes.
  • Strong understanding of standard QC functions and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (B31.3, API-1104, and ASME).
