Job DetailsWe are seeking a Claims Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our claims department, ensuring that each claim is processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance claims, risk management, and claims handling, with a proven track record of leading a team towards success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of the claims department to ensure effective claims services.
- Reviewing and analyzing claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
- Developing and implementing procedures to improve productivity and quality of claims processing.
- Assisting in the development and execution of training programs for claims staff.
- Managing and resolving complex or problematic claims.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as underwriting and risk management, to identify trends and implement strategies to reduce risk and improve claims outcomes.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Preparing and presenting reports on claims activities to senior management.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a claims management role, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Proven experience in insurance claims, claims handling, risk management, and ClaimsPro.
- A deep understanding of the principles and practices related to claims management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving its goals.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and customers.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and other relevant computer applications.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field. A professional certification in claims management or insurance is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
