Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Permanent Accounting Manager in the Property Accounting division. This role is integral to our organization and offers a unique opportunity to work in the exciting and fast-paced construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting related to our property portfolio, which includes multifamily and apartment properties. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

As the Accounting Manager, you will be expected to:

  1. Oversee all property accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger (GL), and year-end close.
  2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multifamily and apartment properties.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information.
  4. Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process.
  5. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial reporting, and assist in strategic planning.
  7. Develop and mentor accounting staff, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  8. Handle special projects as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager position will possess:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
  2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
  3. Extensive knowledge of A/R, GL, and year-end close procedures.
  4. Experience with property accounting for multifamily and apartment properties.
  5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring staff.
  7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  10. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making capability.
