A law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with extensive experience in civil litigation to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal acumen, be comfortable handling cases independently, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment to provide high-quality legal representation. Handle a full caseload of civil litigation matters, from pre-litigation through resolution, including trial and appeals.Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients.Attend hearings, depositions, trials, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal options.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.Ensure cases are managed efficiently and deadlines are met.Negotiate settlements and advise clients on the best course of action based on legal analysis.Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.Admitted to the Maryland Bar (admission to the DC and Virginia Bars is a plus).Strong ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients.Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle high-pressure situations effectively.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Must be licensed to practice law in Maryland.Admission to the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars is preferred but not required.Skills:
Proficiency in civil litigation and courtroom procedures.Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to provide strategic legal advice and build strong client relationships.Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and case management skills.Capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively.Location:
