The attorney should be licensed to practice in Maryland, with additional admissions in D.C. and Virginia considered a plus.Duties:
Advise clients on a wide range of corporate and business matters, including the formation, structuring, and operation of businesses.Draft and negotiate key legal documents such as shareholders' agreements, operating agreements, non-compete agreements, and executive compensation contracts.Assist clients in handling business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other commercial dealings.Provide guidance on employment law matters, including compliance with labor regulations and drafting employment agreements.Represent clients in resolving business disputes, including negotiating settlements and participating in litigation or mediation as necessary.Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents.Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering timely and strategic legal advice.Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management and client satisfaction.Handle all phases of complex business disputes, from initial negotiations through resolution.Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of focused experience in business and corporate law.Admission to the Maryland Bar is required, with additional admissions to the D.C. and Virginia Bars preferred.Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal concepts to clients.Experience in drafting and negotiating business-related contracts and agreements.Proficiency in handling employment law matters, including drafting and reviewing non-compete and executive compensation agreements.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-service focus.Attention to detail and sound judgment in all legal matters.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in Maryland.Admission to practice in D.C. and Virginia preferred but not required.Skills:
Strong expertise in business law, corporate governance, and business transactions.Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.Effective legal research and analysis.Proficient in handling business dispute resolution.Strong client relationship management skills.Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Location:
