A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with a strong background in civil litigation to join its practice. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of litigation experience and be able to manage a full caseload independently while maintaining strong client relationships. Handle all aspects of civil litigation from inception through resolution, including trial, mediation, and appeal work.Lead and manage cases independently while collaborating with team members when necessary.Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout the litigation process.Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Represent clients in court, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.Work closely with clients to assess risks, evaluate options, and negotiate settlements when appropriate.Maintain and grow a book of business through effective client relationship management and networking.Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil litigation.A portable book of business is required.Must be admitted to practice law in Maryland.Admission to the District of Columbia and Virginia Bars is a plus.Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters to clients clearly and concisely.Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to make sound legal judgments.Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland.DC and Virginia Bar admissions are advantageous but not mandatory.Skills:
Expertise in civil litigation procedures and courtroom advocacy.Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Skilled in negotiating and resolving disputes.Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team-focused setting while handling responsibilities autonomously.Location:
