Overview of the Purchasing Coordinator Role:

As a Purchasing Coordinator, you'll be vital in facilitating efficient purchasing processes across multiple departments. The Purchasing Coordinator will ensure that the procurement of materials, equipment, and services is seamless and timely, supporting the operations team in meeting their goals. Key responsibilities of the Purchasing Coordinator include:

  • Reviewing and processing daily purchase requests from field and corporate teams, ensuring that all materials, rentals, and maintenance services are ordered promptly.
  • Generating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) using NetSuite, focusing on accurate and prompt delivery of goods and services.
  • Communicating shipment statuses and delivery timelines to the field operations team, informing them of potential delays.
  • Collecting receipts from the field, verifying, and processing purchase orders through NetSuite for accurate inventory and documentation.
  • Overseeing documentation for the rental process, ensuring all details are entered, collected, and filed appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications for the Purchasing Coordinator Role:

  • An AA or AS degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience in purchasing or fleet management is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs and experience with NetSuite are bonuses.
  • A proactive desire to learn new systems and continually improve efficiency.
